"Crystal" is the popular street name of the pharmaceutical compound methamphetamine. The drug is a potent psycho-stimulant that has the potential to cause irreparable physical, psychological, and social damage to individuals who abuse or become dependent on this substance. Use of this illicit drug is found among all sectors of American society, is equally used by both men and women, in rural and urban settings, and across races and ethnicities. Also known as "crank," "meth," "Tina," and "ice," the drug has been abused by Americans for over 50 years.
What does crystal meth do?
It speeds up the body’s functioning by increasing the heart rate and pulse, increasing wakefulness, and intensifying concentration and thought processes. It elevates the mood and provides a high or a feeling of euphoria. It stimulates the part of the brain that is responsible for pleasure and reward, fine motor control, sex drive, and increased energy levels. It can also cause increased irritability, restlessness, insomnia, anxiety, and panic. At high doses, it can induce a confused and disorganized behavior, paranoia, hallucinations, increased aggressiveness and antisocial behaviors. Overdoses are relatively common. Symptoms include agitation, hostility, hallucinations, high temperature, convulsions, suicidal tendencies, circulatory and respiratory collapse, coma, and possible death.
What Are the Effects of Methamphetamine Use?
This is a list of effects associated with pure methamphetamine use. Because of how it's made, crystal meth is never pure, so the dangers associated with taking the street drug extend beyond these effects.

Effects of Overdose
I was not a heavy user (once in a while, until I got several sex T-buddies and consumed more). I got very attracted for of being hours having sex. The problems started... I was very strong for running and hiking, and one day , I found myself fighting for breathing and my heart rhythm changed while I was hiking. My friends started asking me was wrong, and I blamed other problem but I knew Tina was affecting me. That's scared me. Just walking 5 blocks was like I was running for half an hour. Also my masturbation sensations changed. My teeth started getting little weaker when I have had EXCELLENT dental health my whole life...and I decided to act seriously against the drugs. (Guys, it doesn't worth it and you never know when you are in the dangerous line ...you cross it and maybe never comeback to normal)
Leo | July 18, 2010 1:57 pmI'm afraid that I might try meth one day. I know its extremely dangerous and extremely stupid. I'm educated and have a promising future, why do I entertain this thought. I think I want to feel uninhibited, alive, and shirk rigid social mores. I also watch gang bang porn..and I see the sea of bodies... I don't think I could do that sober. i don't think I will actively search for meth. My fear is that I'll be drunk and someone will offer it to me... or someone will offer it to me.. and for whatever reason..I'll do it. Discussing these thoughts is cathartic. I hope that I never try meth... saying never feel weird and dishonest... I hope that the desire to try meth passes, and if it doesn't and I do try it... it will be a one time thing.
